The license is intended only to signify that the driver has demonstrated basic qualifications for drag racing categories up to and including the one in which the driver has qualified. They are typically harder to put in though with the stock dashes, heater, and wiring installed.. Any car running 9.99-seconds (6.39 1/8-mile) or quicker in the quarter-mile is required to have the chassis inspected and an NHRA/SFI certification sticker affixed. Door cars slower than 8.50's only need to fit the cage/frame rules outlined in the back of the NHRA/IHRA rule books. The XR276 comes in at 224/230 degrees of duration at 0.050-inch tappet lift, 0.502/0.510-inch max lift, and is ground on 110 centers. Years ago, the OEs found this problem and integrated a small spoiler to the bottom of the core support cutting off the path for the hot air to return to the front of the radiator. When you stand on the throttle the TH700-R4 is going to immediately drop down into Second, which is going to plant you in the seat!

The SFI specs mentioned only outline what's required for the cage/chassis. Since we will be adding in mini tubs later, we allowed for the additional four inches of space we needed from the stock tubs.
